Defining Zoopoetics with Aaron Moe

This week’s Defining HAS video comes to us from Aaron Moe, Assistant Professor of English at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame.

Dr. Moe’s book Zoopoetics: Animals and the Making of Poetry appeared in 2014. His publications also include chapters in Texts, Animals, Environments: Zoopoetics and Ecopoetics and The Edinburgh Companion to Animal Studies as well as several journal articles on zoopoetics/ecopoetics. In his 2019 book project, Ecocriticism and the Poiesis of Form: Holding on to Proteus, Moe extends his thinking on the gestural energy of poiesis to include cells, atoms, and the innumerable forms of the Earth.
