Defining The Political Turn with Siobhan O’Sullivan

This week’s Defining HAS video series video is by Siobhan O’Sullivan, Senior Lecturer in Social Policy and Research, School of Social Sciences, University of New South Wales, who has been tasked with explaining the Political Turn in Human-Animal Studies.

Siobhan O’Sullivan is Senior Lecturer in Social Policy and Research at UNSW, Sydney. She has written extensively on animal issues including a 2011 monograph Animals, Equality and Democracy (Palgrave Macmillan) and a 2016 co-edited book The Political Turn in Animal Ethics (Rowman & Littlefield). Siobhan is also the host of the weekly Animal Studies podcast ‘Knowing Animals’.
