This week’s Defining HAS video series video is by Peter Singer, Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University, and Laureate Professor at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics at the University of Melbourne, who has defined the term speciesism.
Peter Singer has written, co-authored, edited or co-edited more than 40 books, including Animal Liberation, Practical Ethics, Pushing Time Away, The Life You Can Save, and The Most Good You
Can Do. His writings have inspired both the animal rights movement and effective altruism. He is professor of bioethics at Princeton University and now spends part of each year at the University of Melbourne.
