Kathie Jenni is Professor of Philosophy and Director of Human-Animal Studies at the University of Redlands. Her work focuses on animal ethics, environmental ethics, and moral psychology. Her scholarship has appeared in Social Theory and Practice, the Journal of Applied Philosophy, Animal Studies Journal, Environmental Ethics, and other journals and volumes. Kathie co-authored (with Mylan Engel Jr.) The Philosophy of Animal Rights: a Brief Introduction for Students and Teachers (Lantern Press, 2010). Her most recent publication is Empathy and Moral Laziness (Animal Studies Journal). Kathie lives in Southern California with her family of feline companions.
