Defining Actor-Network Theory with Richie Nimmo

This week’s Defining HAS video series addition is by Richie Nimmo, who has been tasked with explaining the term actor-network theory.

Richie Nimmo is Senior Lecturer in Sociology at University of Manchester, UK, where he researches and teaches human-animal relations and environmental sociology. He has published numerous articles on human-animal-environment-technology relations, is author of the monograph Milk, Modernity and the Making of the Human (Routledge, 2010) and editor of the four-volume Actor-Network Theory Research (Sage, 2016).
