ASI’s managed journal, Society & Animals: Journal of Human-Animal Studies, is seeking (1) scholars who are interested in serving as reviewers of manuscripts for the journal, (2) associate editors for the quantitative social science section of the journal, and (3) a book review editor.

1. Reviewers should have published scholarly articles in the area of Human-Animal Studies. If you are interested, please send a CV and a letter of interest to ken.shapiro@animalsandsociety.org indicating your areas of specialization within the field.

2. Associate editors administer the review of manuscripts in quantitative social and natural science. The typical work-load for an associate editor is 4-6 manuscripts annually. Applicants should have expertise in quantitative methods and relevant statistics. If you are interested, please send a CV and a letter of interest to ken.shapiro@animalsandsociety.org.

3. The book review editor needed is for non-fiction books (excluding those in philosophy). Book review editors are expected to administer the review of a minimum of three books annually. The role involves selecting appropriate recent titles, locating appropriate reviewers, and overseeing the reviews from draft form to publication-ready copy.
