We are looking for scholars who are interested in a role in editing Sloth, a journal devoted to contributions to the field of Human-Animal Studies (HAS).

Sloth was published from 2015-2020. Judging by the number of submissions and downloads of articles and our sense of the continuing need to fill the publishing needs of undergraduates and early career scholars, we are excited to relaunch the journal.

A project of Animals and Society Institute, Sloth was created as a venue for undergraduate students and recent graduates to publish scholarly papers, book and film reviews, and other academic and artistic work. For a fuller description of the journal and access to articles published in the 2015-2020 period, see Sloth: A Journal of Emerging Voices in Human-Animal Studies

All HAS scholars are invited to apply; however, preference will be given to early career scholars. The deadline or applications is June 7, 2024.

Candidates should submit a current CV and letter of interest to Ken Shapiro (ken.shapiro@animalsandsociety.org).
