This week’s Defining HAS video series video is by Constance Russell, Professor of Education at Lakehead University, who has explained the sociological term Social Constructionism.
Constance Russell is a Professor in the Faculty of Education, Lakehead University, Canada. Her research interests include: multispecies pedagogies in formal and informal learning environments; seeking interconnections between animal-focused education, environmental education, and social justice education; and gender and education, including the ways that sexism, sizeism, and speciesism intersect and can be addressed through feminist and fat pedagogies. She edited the Canadian Journal of Environmental Education for 12 years, co-edited the award-winning book, The Fat Pedagogy Reader: Challenging Weight-Based Oppression Through Critical Education, and currently is the co-editor of the Peter Lang book series, (Re)thinking Environmental Education.
