Suzanne McAllister

Suzanne McAllister is 5th
generation Brooklynite. She has a BA in philosophy from Barnard
College, and a PhD in counseling psychology from Fordham University. She
currently runs an independent psychotherapy practice in Southeastern
PA, where she combines mindfulness and meditation in her therapy work.
She has worked in industry as a management psychologist, and in academia
as an administrator and teacher. Prior to training as a psychologist,
Suzanne worked as a researcher and administrator in politics,
government, the media, and non-profit organizations.
A life-long animal lover, Suzanne has gone to great lengths rescuing
injured wildlife, including sharing her tub and bedroom with a mallard.
She first became aware of the horrors of animal food production about 8
years ago. Since then she has become a vegan and has gotten
involved in contributing to and volunteering at several humane,
educational, and welfare organizations. She is single and lives in
Jenkintown, PA.
